Diagnosed 45 days ago with mrsa staph at er visit becaus of swelling beyond imagination. the site was in the corner of my eye just under my eyebrow and caused my entire face to swell to double the size just overnight. after 6 days of cleocin antibi. through i v, the dr. did surgery and drained a large amount of the infection. i was then put on cindamycin hcl 150 mg. for 3 weeks, then cipro for another week, my eye has healed very very slowly and is just about looking normal, however, there is still some sort of knot, or tightness near the site. the real problem is that once i finished with the oral antibiotics.....my earlobes, and just behind my ears....began to develop cyst-like spots and are very sore and swolen due to this. now my ears are covered in blister-like spots that hurt, iwent back to see dr. and he says that it is the staph infection still, back on clindamycin again....i am very tired and very sick, this cant be good, does anyone have any input as to if this sounds normal
